Start of the 200 club blog

Welcome to our brand spanking new 200 club Blog!! We are really thrilled with this development and hope you are too. Our aim is to keep you fully informed of all the 200 club news and progress. We will continue to post important information on the 200 club Board in the clubhouse, for those people without internet access. We will continue to use email.

Well, first of all, we should introduce the “Royal We”, the 200 club team.

We have the invaluable help and support of the dynamic Stanistreet duo,

Michael and Judith.

As you know, the aim of the 200 club, apart from delivering big money prizes every month to 3 lucky winners, is to enhance and develop Sale Golf Club through investment in specific and tangible projects.

It is hard to believe we are already in our 16th month. Time has really flown.

In that time we have given over £12,000 in prize money. It’s one of the great highlights when we ring the lucky winners to tell them their number has been drawn from the barrel.
Here is just a few of the happy, smiling faces of the winners.

The projects that the 200 club has funded have really made a difference to Sale Golf Club.

The ornamental beds around the clubhouse made an instant impact last year and these will flourish in the years ahead and give us a constant source of pleasure.

The new 3 bay practise nets opened in February. The Captain and Lady Captain (2009) conducted the official opening ceremony by cutting the red ribbon and driving the first balls into the nets.

This was very quickly followed by the development of the new shoe cleaning facility alongside the 18th green.

after his hard work

A point worth mentioning here is that ALL of the labour on the above 3 projects has been carried out in-house. A very big THANK YOU to Chris Hulme, and all the Greens team, and to Derek Chadwick and his big strong men.
